How it Works

Everything you need to get started, or to pick up where you left off.

New Investigator

Step 1

Buy an access key

  • Choose the case you'd like to solve.
  • Click the orange "Buy an access key" button on the case page.
  • The game is played entirely in English.

Step 2

Use the access key

  • You'll receive an email with your key right after purchase. (Check your spam)
  • Fill in the "New Investigator" fields using that key.
  • Remember your email and password well. You'll need them to log back in.
  • Your display name is just for use in the story and can be changed later. It is not made public.
  • Click "Start Investigation".

Step 3

Start investigating

  • You'll start with a short explanation and the story introduction.
  • Every character and event in the story is fictional.
  • Then you are ready to play!

Have fun!

  • Play at your own pace.
  • Stuck? Ask for ingame support via the support-button.
  • Use the internet freely. Not sure where to look? Support points you to a tool or answer.
  • Every puzzle can be skipped, so you'll never get stuck for good.

Returning Investigator

Step 5

Log back in

  • Go to your case and choose "Returning Investigator".
  • Enter your email and password.
  • Pick up right where you left off.
